and a short reel I shot with the Pentax.. cinema verite . I don't go out at night.. but make a few exceptions.. this was taken just a few steps from my doorway. It was a lovely cheery scene - I wish the snow had arrived a bit earlier in the day.. _ would have gone over to topkins sq park.. hoping for more snow . I just stood in one place.. not wishing to risk tumbling.. it was pretty slippery.

Try adding a "-" (without the quotation marks) to the end of the word
"that" in the URL bar of your browser.
When I click the link in Thunderbird the browser seems to lose that
final "-". Adding it on manually gets you the correct URL.

Mark, several months ago I abruptly stopped getting any messages through PDML. I emailed Doug and you (using mark@robertstech), and got no replies.
I’m glad PDML is still here, and plan to post some photos for the group’s admiration (or withering criticism) shortly.
Cheers,
Rick

By the way, here's my gallery of shots from my latest trip back to old

The "mark@" address hasn't been active for several years now (got too
much spam). Just use "contact@" if you need to reach me.

Thanks for the props , everyone ! I'm much more often tuning into
facebook and instagram these days - where I do see many of you.
Ralf - Lottery tickets, yes - cigars no
Paul - you had me at Hopperesque :-)
Rick - especially glad you mentioned MA Bell. I had gotten a lot of
props on FB for Five Guys, but hardly a "like" for my homage to
the architectural symmetry I like so much.

I'm glad the PDML is still here, too. (And with a lot of familiar names).
I'm not posting photos to the group because nowadays I don't use a Pentax.
I've been very happy with my Olympus M1X, which is a lot easier to carry
around (a 12-100, 40-150, and a 2x TC cover pretty much anything I want).
My only concern was the lack of a backup body. I was considering getting
an M5 (or possibly even the M10) when one of our local camera stores put
a new in box M1X on sale for the price of an M5 ...
I keep promising myself that 'one of these days' I'm going to put together
a gallery of the images I use for screen backgrounds (the vast majority of
which were shot with Pentax cameras). If I ever do get round to doing that
you can be sure that I'll post it here.
Until then - a happy new year to everyone. I'll be seeing you ...
