3905 - I was lucky. A group of Japanese women standing next to some tar and paper sheds; a street scene with a poster for a Stallone film and a racing car start line with everyone dressed in gnomex suits were easy to date to within a decade. The Stallone one was dead on.
If you run it again, you get a different set of images.

This is clearly a better quiz for you guys on the other side of the
pond. Also better for guys who can id vehicles ages in street scenes..
Interesting thing about fashions.. there are differences for same time
periods across countries.. so that poses a problem for
us over here..

Yet most of the pictures I get to see seem to be more centred upon the USA, or things relating to it like the Vietnam war.

If it is pop culture stuff in the USA I'm an ignoramus too..
interesting about what you see I saw nothing from the USA.. it is rather
intriguing I may go back to it now and then.. However, it can't help
that between 1960 and 1980 I had no TV.. but funny that you posted
this quiz at the same time that I put a photo on
FB, including our private PDML page that asked where was I when I took
the photo :-) asked people answering to comment without revealing the name
of the city to everyone to message me privately with the name or say
something that would show they knew without naming the city exactly.

All photos I've been shown were clearly from the USA and I've been off
by ten years with all but one.

That is really weird.. I only saw one photo that I thought was in the
USa and I didn't recognize where it was.. had no idea where the really
old photos
were taken .. I did nail one photo for 1000 points but I dont remember
what it was now..
does the quiz know your location and intentionally show photos that are
less likely to be recognized? hmmm

Ok I did it again this morning.. and did screen shots of my answers got
3387 with one 1000 pointer -
Here is what I saw:
(1) map of holland on wall - happy people 1945 I got this one right
on end of WWII so 1000 pts
(2) USA 1950 looks like arizona or nevada.. I guessed 1954 the womens
clothes and the camera bag kid was carrying did the decade for me
(3) I guessed 1928 answer was 1921 dk where taken
(4) funeral shot.. dk where .. I guessed 1930s it was 1926 but I had
the event right - death of RUdolph Valentino (I looked it up later)
(5) I guessed 1995 - lt was 1992 -street scene narrow streets all
Asians in street and all signage in Asian characters - tall modern
building in background.
I got 3387 - this was my 4th try at the quiz .. earlier I didnt even
crack 2000
But where does it show you the locations? That is the exact answers?
