It was my boss's birthday yesterday, we went on a walk at Heaps Peak Arboretum and then to Lake Gregory in Crestline.  There were a lot of birds at the Lake.  Unfortunately I didn't get any decent ones of the cormorant.

I think that like most of this list, several of the birds are coots. I recognized the Mallards, not sure what sort of heron (great blue maybe?)

This one is not a Great Blue, I think it is a green. Much smaller. But I haven’t checked my book yet, just from memory - last time I saw one was 1.5 years ago…

I suspect that this is a multilingual pun, but my google fu isn't up to
the task of deciphering it.

Anas is a type of duck.

My guess is capiti has to do with hat or head.

I did figure out Mike's "golden eye" reference.

Looking up the heron, I think it might be a grey
https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Gray_Heron/id

by contrast here's a great blue
https://www.massaudubon.org/nature-wildlife/birds/great-blue-herons

And it's not a green
https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Green_Heron/id

judging by this, it's about 2' tall
