Duck with a brown head and a red snack

I think that like most of this list, several of the birds are coots. I recognized the Mallards, not sure what sort of heron (great blue maybe?)

spadix (genitive spadicis) is Latin for chestnut-brown.

The Latin for spade is pala, or rutrum.

My invented, and probably incorrect, species name meaning brown-headed has obviously confused Google (machinatio servilis indoctus), though sadly not to the point where it implodes and puts an end to its misery.
