I see you have elected a new Prime Minister.

Politics aside, I suspect the uncertainty of the past several months has
been troublesome, and hopefully is at an end.

Stiff upper lip, olc chaps!

Er, no we haven’t and no it isn’t.

141,725 people from a party membership of 172,437 voted for one of two candidates chosen by the party’s MPs. Of those 141,725 people only 56% voted for her. So about 80,000 people in a population of about 47 million who can vote in a general election.

Fewer than half of her party’s MPs voted for her, so she doesn’t even command her own party in parliament. Some of them are already talking about getting rid of her before the next scheduled general election, in 2024.

She herself has never achieved anything politically, except to become leader of her party, and that only because she has the support of the ultra right wing disaster capitalists, who are like hyenas, except that I quite like hyenas.

Like the Republicans in the USA the Tories here never cease to amaze by their ability to find ever worse, more extreme scumbags to be their party leader.

No, they haven't. A few thousand members of the Tory party have.

Politics aside, I suspect the uncertainty of the past several months has
been troublesome, and hopefully is at an end.

Stiff upper lip, olc chaps!

And a voice spoke to them: Smile and be happy, things could get worse...

And they will get worse. Unlike Johnson, this woman is dead serious.

This does not directly affect the UK, but it is still astonishing:

Euro slides below $0.99 after Russia halts gas supplies.

Not forgetting their matching ability to get people to actually vote for them.

Depressing that there are so many uneducated or downright stupid fascists in the world, isn't it?

For some reason, I can't find Dan's original post.  The guy in the link  sums up my feelings about the recently defenestrated Mr Penis (and his even less intelligent descendants) albeit with rather less vitriol than I would be inclined to use.  Is it a coincidence that the end of the link reads mhUrky?  I think not.
