Right where I am it was not a big problem... but as much as only a few
bocks away there certainly were - and in other sections, oy.
there were walls of water cascading down subway stairs.. many subway
lines suspended service.  But it was calm enough for me
to talk a few blocks to keep my flu shot appointment at the local CVS..
it wasn't windy, just a downpour and my sturdy poncho
kept most of me dry.

But you must ahve gotten a bit too muchw ater down your way too ,JOhn
how did you fare?

The storm passed by off the coast, so where I am here inland there was
just a bit of light rain, kind of a moderately rainy day ... the kind
where you curl up with a good book & enjoy watching it out a window.

Yes, good to know that you are well and safe Ann!

My brother in Nyack had to have two sump pumps continuously running to keep his basement from flooding, and my friend Stephen battled driving home from Cape Cod through the thick of it.

Out here in the Uttermost West we had a mostly nice day, but then some clouds filled the sky and a light drizzle appeared for 20 minutes. Very unusual for this time of year … about a month early for any rain at all. Of course, on the local news, the sky was falling! LOL!

be well! hugz,
G

I could make an argument that technically they were not wrong.
