PESOs (4) - Laurel Hill Hearse

Our photo class visited Laurel Hill Cemetery last week. It was founded in 1836 on the outer fringe of Philadelphia, but of course it has been engulfed by the city over the decades.

In front of the administration building is this antique Pontiac hearse, which attracted photographic interest. Note the brackets holding the wing mirrors.

I'm not sure it was ever used for funerals!  The skeletal hand mirror brackets and the slogan on the side window suggest a somewhat
jokey design - and the two-tone jars a bit too!  But, good subject.
