102 F / 33 C forecast for today and tomorrow in Philadelphia. Ugh.
Don't know what you guys are complaining about. During summer time in
Phalabowa we turn on the heaters when it gets down to 40ºC !!!

Wimp!
We've been up to 39c last week. No a/c, mind you. Bought one of those
Dyson fan clones for 69 euros. A day later, it was up to 169.

Travelling back from southern Poland, we endured day after day of 40C and muggy. That was copeable but the claggy 30C nights were something else. Then, in the last 15-20km to Amsterdam, the temperature dropped over 10 degrees. Bliss.

Quite so. The nights at 30c inside are the worst. We've been washing the
bedsheets every day for the last two weeks. Plus, they're laying fibre
cable in the street, so we can't keep the windows open during the day
because of the noise and the dust. And they're already forecasting the
next heat wave in a week.
