Most are pretty self-explanatory but BHN0002 is intriguing. What? When? Where? etc.

Ralph’s shot really stands out, literally and metaphorically, for me.

Thanks Bob. But I think they're all great.

Officially my favorite gallery this year! Love this stuff, and the
variety the subject inspired.
The best thing is that it looks like no one had to struggle to find a
photo of theirs that fit the bill - everyone who participated seemed to
have a favorite that jumped out of their files as being subject matter
that compelled them to shoot... Ok, I'm projecting (no pun) my situation
but I bet it is true for most if not all..especially since there are
photos in the PUG by more than the usual suspects.

Mike -- I read this after I posted my plaudits for the whole gallery..
but I think I can answer the "where" - with a guess,
I'm guessing Pennsylvania as the where. Taken from a train window or at
a rail station.
if not Pennsylvania, then not far from it in another north eastern
state in the USA.
Scenes like this are familiar to me in person and always evoke these
lines of Vachel Lindsey's
"Factory windows are always broken
Something or other is going wrong
Something is rotten, I think, in Denmark
End of the factory workers song."

Great gallery. I had planned to participate but was overwhelmed with work and a flooded basement — thanks to six inches of rain in just a few hours. A disaster cleanup crew is down there now.

A lot of great shots here. My favorites are Bill Robb’s and Mark Cassino’s. Two entirely different approaches but both masterfully executed by these PDML veterans.

All good! I particularly like Bill’s offering. Bruce’s old warehouse and Ralf’s free-standing house both convey some of that same interesting sense of structure isolated from its surrounds…
I was expecting a Milwaukee Art Museum image from Paul Sorenson, did not expect Mark C. to swim across the lake to that venue. It was worth the trip…

I agree that this is a great gallery!
My first thought was to use one of my images from Taos, but I quickly
realized AnnSan would do that, and hers would be much better than mine!
Then I went to the Great Wall or the Acropolis, but those are pretty
cliche. Since I love Japanese architecture, I finally decided on one from
our trip to Japan a few years ago.
I went to Bruce Nagel's website, to try to discover what and where
BHN0002 is, but he is as mysterious there as in his PUG entry.
I also found "The Brutal Architecture of Repression" by Alistair Lax quite
mysterious. I believe it is a museum jof state terror in Berlin.
I think Bill Robb's "Prairie Sentinel" is my overall favorite followed
by Mark Cassino's abstract image.
