About the only thing I've really done photographically lately is put in a WTF bid on a 150-450 on ebay, and nobody bid against me. It showed up on Monday.
Nice when that happens!
I haven't had a chance to do any photography with it, but it has more bells and whistles than a pipe organ in a pizza parlor.
Use it to photograph pipe organs in pizza parlours - I’ve never heard of such a thing!
I’m on my way back to the UK after a couple of weeks in France, including a visit to the graves of HCB and Martine Franck. I took a few photos with my Leica iiia, b&w of course, but will have to wait until the film is developed. Meanwhile:

Love those winding paths shots.. tending not to want to look at
gravestones, I didn't notice whose it was when I saw these on instagram
earlier.

France! Isn't that where the coneheads came from?

Ok, so the reason I posted is I subscribe to the list using two email
accounts. Mostly I've been using an earthlink account (with the
roadrunner account as backup).
A few years back roadrunner's email servers went off-line for SEVERAL
MONTHS and I could not send or receive email. Roadrunner's tech support
response was that "I didn't pay for email, that was only something
Time-Warner provided out of the goodness of their corporate hearts, so
it wasn't a problem that I didn't have email ..."
That's when I got the earthlink account.
Once roadrunner came back I set up a "forward file" so that everything
coming to my roadrunner account forwards to my earthlink account.
But there's some SPAMMER guy down in Atlanta that keeps tripping the
SPAM filter PDML uses, causing earthlink's email servers to get
blacklisted by PDML - individual servers, it only happens if my outgoing
mail hits the SPECIFIC server his outgoing SPAM has tripped the filters.
And, PDML's SPAM filter no longer sends me bounce messages when I happen
to hit on the wrong server, so all I see is NOTHING. (If my post goes
through, I get two copies - one from earthlink & the forwarded one from
roadrunner.
But for the last week or so NADA, not even my own posts ... which were
made using the earthlink account.
