It got me to thinking. I remember how Dan grew milkweed in a pot on his
deck and bought caterpillars to feed on them to make into Monarch
butterflies.

I've got a deck & I know where to get pots and I'm pretty sure if I ask
at a local garden center they'll know how & where I can acquire milkweed
to go into the pots ...

You can buy caterpillars on-line; 2024 appears to be sold out, but you
can order them for 2025. Maybe I'll do that.

Good for you, John. Continuation of the efforts of Dan & many others.

The underlying problem is the destruction of habitat (bush clearing
including Milkweed plants) along the migratory paths, many of which are
now broken. I have read that remedial action is being taken so there is
always hope.
