I spotted this at the local car show today.

Apparently they are quite rare. This is a ground up restoration.

Technical stuff:

Fuji X-T5, 16-55/2.8 and polarizing filter.

Great pic of a fabulous machine. Here’s a later model Power Wagon that’s not as cool looking, but it’s special inside, where it was modified for a quadriplegic driver.

I spent some time chatting with the lad in the background of the
picture. He and his dad had salvaged the machine from a farmyard and had
taken it on. He indicated that this was the first 4 wheel drive truck
introduced to the civilian market. I don't know if that's the fact, but
he seemed pretty sure of himself.

He is VERY proud of his truck.

This one is powered by the original 218CID inline 6 that it came from
the factory with. When they did the restoration they used bed liner
spray on the running boards rather than the original gloss black enamel.
I think that was the only unforced "improvement" they made. I don't
think the tires were stock, but I suspect that after nearly 80 years,
the stock tires are no longer readily available so they did the best
they could.

Thanks all for looking and commenting.

Very nice photo!
It reminds me why I don’t go to car shows - I would see something like this truck, and then spend the next few days fantasizing about maybe someday having one of those beasts parked in my garage…

I had to stop at the grocery store yesterday. There in the parking lot
was a beautiful Frog-Eye (Bug-Eye?) Austin-Healey Sprite.

I had my camera with me because I was on the way back from photographing
a small waterfall I had discovered (looking for interesting things near
my new home in Google Maps) so I took a few photographs.

... and shed a tear because neither of the two MGBs I own is driveable
and by now it's pretty obvious I'll never be able to restore them. 😢

But I enjoyed the photo of the Power Wagon.

Frogeye in the UK, Bugeye in the states.  For added fun, the Subie crowd have their own definition of a "bugeye"

I feel your pain bro.  I only need two things to get my MGB back on the road, time and money.

A friend has a frogeye that has been garaged, and not running, for about 45 years, I so much would have loved to pick that up as a project and put in a more modern driveline.

But I enjoyed the photo of the Power Wagon.

LIkewise, great job on both ends.
