Hello! Time for another "picture every so often" post ... this year, a little more sporadic than in previous years!

I've kept the Voigtländer Heliar Classic 50mm f/1.5 VM on the Leica M10 Monochrom since I remembered that I had it a week and some ago, carrying that camera (also fitted with a green filter) on most of my daily walks. I mostly keep the aperture between f/1.5 and f/2.8, and the library of Heliar 50 photos is building up slowly. 🙂

Table By The Window - Santa Clara 2025 :: https://flic.kr/p/2rmnhMQ
ISO 160 @ f/1.5 @ 1/500, green filter

This was yesterday ... I stopped into the pho shop around the corner from me and had just a spring roll for lunch as it was too hot out to eat much, and certainly not a lot of hot soup. The empty table and chair by the window caught my eye. The lens caught the scene just as I'd visualized albeit this one took exposure compensation in the camera at about EV+1.3 and a little bit of rendering work to bring the lights and darks into balance. Focus was placed on the corner of the table.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"
Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

Interesting choice of focus plane. I had to look at the photo carefully
to make sure that you hadn't just posted an out of focus image.
