Heading out on a trip at the end of the week. As the subject line
suggests, the destinations are Amsterdam and Bruges. Any suggestions
for specific things to add to our itinerary would be most welcome.

3 days. We have time before and after in Amsterdam.

You might want to spend one day in Bruges and then get down to Zeebrugge
and catch the famous coastal tramway, actually the world's longest tram
line. Take it towards De Panne and step off at De Haan and Ostend. Much
nicer places than the tourist-overrun Bruges.

Ghent is also a nice place to visit in that region.
