Ann, nice results you get with this high zoom small sensor camera. I've seen here a cheap second hand Pentax XG-1 for sale, that has 52 x optical zoom and a 16MP sensor. Probably a similar camera as the Coolpix 520. Does anybody have some experience with this camera? I'll have a look also at the Pentax forums. I had a Pentax Optio WG-1 GPS which I used as my beach and snorkeling camera. It performed very well for years of hard use and abuse. I will be looking for a replacement for it when I go back to Maui in Jan 2022. It doesn't have raw only jpg. I wouldn't be surprised if the lens and other internals are the same source as the coolpix.
