Yes, I'm home.  Just climbing out of a bout of the plague.  My own fault for letting my guard down but I have to say that, if this was a reduced dose thanks to being fully vaccinated, I wouldn't fancy my chances of survival of a full one.  Actually I may not survive yet, having passed it on to Cath, who is presently undergoing the full experience and cursing me by the hour.

Joking (I hope) aside, don't let anyone tell you that this is just like flu or even a cold.  It's far, far worse and there is no predictability as to how bad it will be for individuals.  Even now, more than a week after first symptoms, my lungs are barely functional.  I don't need a pause coming down the stairs any more but that is little comfort.  Cath seems to be suffering more with joint issues, although her coughing has increased a lot over the last day or so.  I don't know if that is a function of different body reactions to the virus or if there is viral mutation involved.  It speaks volumes to me that there can be two such differing reactions, though.

So don't let your guard down.  It won't be alright to be unmasked "just this once" or to go into a crowd of unmasked people.  Sanitise every time.  I managed to avoid it until now and I won't be in a hurry to go through it again.  Good luck.

A bit over-busy with other stuff here; blasting hot outdoors the past few days.

I'm working on photos made at the American Lancia Club - West Coast Reunion 2022 meet I attended week before last. Almost done, should post them today sometime.

Am now. Been out measuring & marking a half-marathon route (and dodging
traffic). Photography on the back burner.

Traveling in Alaska. Trying to decide if a shot from the ship’s deck of an object in the water below qualifies as an aerial shot…

Get well soon.

Monday afternoon, the summer intern that I share an 8x12 office with was feeling poorly, and tested positive for covid when she got home.
On Tuesday morning I tested negative, but have been isolating at home.  I’m planning on a second test tomorrow morning or Saturday.

I haven’t had much in the way of symptoms, other than a bit of a headache and sleeping for ten hours last night.
