I bought a small 1.33x anamorphic adapter recently and had the chance to play with it today. After a misty start to the day it brightened up a bit, then a sea mist came in and produced some lovely lighting as it was clearing.

The anamorphic adapter is by Alum/PPP Cameras.

On 4/3rds it transforms into a 16:9 ratio, which is very cinematic. On 135 format it desqueezes to 2:1.

I’ve bought the additional 46mm ring and used it here with a 17mm lens (35mm equivalent fov) on a LUMIX GX8.

It comes supplied with a 39mm ring, which is good for Leica lenses.

The 49mm ring is sold out otherwise I’d have bought one to use with my Pentax M lenses. Hopefully it will come back into stock.

I used an app called Easy Desqueezer to Desqueezer the shots.
