I was about to suggest that, most of the devices that block readers
accessing your cards when you don't want them accessed are just a layer
of metal or metal mesh protected by a non abrasive covering.  Like a
little Faraday cage covered in silk.  It should be possible to line your
purse with something like that, unless the tolerances are two tight.

P.s. while I'm thinking about that.. perhaps I should just get a new
wallet+lanyard that has the RFID stuff in it.. they are abundant, but
none I've seen on line so far
are quite as nice as the little Lesportsac one I have now that isn't
RFID.  Well, a justifiable shopping expedition is a plus.

It might be more fruitful to ask the bank via their website, rather than a clerk who doesn’t seem to understand, to set the contactless limit to $0.00.

Just to clarify; the bank does nothing to the card.  It just alters the protocols on your account so that it does not allow contactless payments.

it is just awkward getting extracting the card from the folded foil
with my fingers but a credit card size piece of rigid aluminum in the
seperater with the card in it, and another in the next door pocket would
work.. hmmm .. an excuse to go to Home Depo
