I’ve done almost no shooting this month. It’s been hot and humid, the spring flowers are fading, and the muse has been very quiet.
Looking back in Lightroom, a June photo-slump seems to be a pattern: In three of the last five years, I have taken zero photos during June; in 2018 I shot an ordination (otherwise no pix), and in 2015 I took on few pics on my way to and from work on one day.
I’m looking forward to having the muse sing in me again.

I've done no shooting for a year: busy with my mother's estate, then COVID kept us isolated, then chemotherapy meant I was physically not well enough to venture out, nor much inspired for indoor stuff.
Just beginning to get back to some strength, but still a way to go. Not sure the muse is still hanging around for me, though, she's had a long dry spell.

Rick, I think it is all over. Our lives have been so disrupted by this
Covid thing. Road running has been virtual for over a year - just not
the same & very little camaraderie. I do find some solace in trying to
tame 3 feral kittens my garden. Not a single snake yet. And then
there's always the PDML!

I've been carrying a camera every day and shooting, but all on instant film. Some days no exposures at all, some days two or three. It seems an inter-time moment, a moment when The Muse and the world are not on speaking terms.
The instant film prints are stacking up. And I have a bunch of them I've scanned but haven't rendered to finish too. All patterns are off as the Dire Year Plus slowly winds down in the USA.
