On Thursday we'll be meeting up with Chris Mitchell in Kew Gardens in
London (followed by a few pints at one pub or another).
Then some time next week we'll be meeting Mike Wilson at an
undisclosed (at this point) location in Wales for a transfer of
motorcycle brake parts.
Does it get any better than this? I think not.

Coincidentally, I had been thinking about London. Triggered I think by John’s question about GFM attendance. And I have been reflected on various get-togethers over the years and across continents. London was massive, Cotty arranged an evening (?) ride on the Eye, we did walks through markets and art galleries… Apart from my stopping in for the event, Gianfranco came over from Naples for the weekend (with a new girlfriend as I recall.) Years before that I had met up with Bob, Cotty and Cotty’s son Steph for a Saturday morning coffee in North London someplace. I think that was the weekend where I stayed in a hotel on that side of town, had to reroute to the airport the next day because my intended tube station start-point had just been bombed by IRA…
Mark, I envy you, and please give my best to those you are seeing.

If you can get to London give us a shout! (Where are you living these days? I've lost track.)

They were great times Stan. Yes that London Eye trip was special - I recall it fondly. Borough Market if I recall, as well. If only I had that energy now!
“If only the young knew…if only the old could…”
(with apologies to Henri Estienne)
Stefan says hi. He;s working today, down in Westminster, in parliament in amongst all the hussle and tussle of the political situation here. Lots of live interviews and such - right up his street.
Hope you and Meg are well.

We've been frantically juggling plans in response to the unpredictable weather, but we've settled on the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit at the Natural History Museum if you fancy a trip into London tomorrow. 11:00 AM
