This month I bought myself a couple of used lenses to console my bereft soul, either that, or I found them for prices that I couldn't resist. I got the DFA 24-70/2.8 and the sigma 18-35/1.8. The justification for spending the $400 on the sigma was that I don't have much that fast and wide of an AoV for APS.
Some years back I thought about how that lens on APS would compare with a 28-50 (or so) on FF. You get about a stop faster lens, with about a stop smaller pixels. Also at equivalent fields of view, the depth of field should be similar. You lose some in the aperture, and you gain some in the focal length.
I did that test last night at the milonga. Extremely informal.
Pretty much the same shot, at full wide focal length and wide open aperture both shot at 1/80 second. I did do TaV bracketing, but since both bodies are pretty much ISO invariant, difference in ISO is pretty much just the difference between where highlights blow out.

Yeah, if I were to pixel peep, I might be able to notice differences, but in the real world, my conclusion is "close enough".
If you want to follow up yourself, the album is at:

The K1 shots are the LRC2xxxx and the K3 are LRC0xxxx.
For most of the evening, I shot with the 24-70 on the K-1 and the 85/1.4 on the K-3.
I think my favorite shots are

I've got another one of her that I absolutely love, except that I blew the focus. I posted it anyways.

And some dancers up in the balcony area where there was more room to dance:
