Is there anyone out there?
I've managed to put together a start on the list of the Pentax
gear I've got lying around. If there's anything here you might
be interested in, please let me know.
My final Pentax camera was a K-5 (complete with battery grip).
It spent most of the time with a 60-250 f/4 zoom mounted on it,
(or the 250-600 f/5.6 that has already gone to a new home), but
I also used a couple of smaller, lighter zoom lenses which I do
still have - the 80-320 f/4.5-5.6 or the 50-135 f/2.8.
Apart from that I still have a whole lot of other older Pentax
bodies; a K-10D, a *ist-D, an MZ-S, an ME Super, a Super Program,
a PZ-1p, and a rather nice black Pentax MX with a motor drive.
As far as lenses go by far the most exotic is the A* 300 f/2.8,
But I also have a DA* 16-50, a DA 10-17 fisheye, an FA 28-105,
and quite a few older manual focus lenses, plus several other
odds and ends (teleconverters, etc., etc.)
I'll try to put together a more complete list once I've tracked
down exactly where everything else has managed to hide itself.

So where is "here" that you didn't already have grounded outlets? I
think they've been mandatory here in the U.S. since the 1960s (although
you were NOT required to replace existing outlets unless you were re-wiring)
... and a 220V line for a car charger suggests you recently acquired an
EV, so what did you get? 🤨
I think there are several others who post here occasionally who no
longer use Pentax. I'm not the rule maker, but it seems y'all
would/could/should still be part of the community.
I was on a Zoom call this morning and someone mentioned rumors of a K-3
Mk.IV? What little I could find suggested it's more of the same. I might
be interested if it had the K-1 articulated rear screen, but it doesn't
look like it does.
And looking just now there are apparently rumors of a K-1 Mk.III ...

(Don't hold your breath, though - the house is in even
more turmoil than usual; we've had electricians in to
ground all the outlets and install a 220v line for the
car charger, we've been sorting out all the junk that
has accumulated in the garage over the decades, and we
will have landscapers coming to totally re-do both the
front and back - something that is long over-due).

I'm in the US - more specifically in San Jose, CA.We moved from the UK
to the USA (to Nashua, NH) in the late '70s (after a one year assignment
in New Zealand - I was working for DEC in those days, and I took the job
in New Zealand on the condition that DEC would relocate me to the US.
The house we bought was built in the early 1960s, and was only 2-wire.
Over the years we've remodelled parts of the house, rewiring those rooms
(kitchen, bathrooms, ...), and adding grounded outlets, but we still had
2 or 3 rooms left to update, so when we had electricians in to install a
220v line in the garage we also had them take care of the remainder.
We have indeed bought an EV, but it's not our first. We've had a Smart
Car for years, but that car charges up fully overnight using just the
little 120v charger that came with the car. Our latest car is a Mini;
to fully charge that car using the charger that came with the Smart Car
would take somewhere around 30 hours.
More specifically it's a 2024 Mini Cooper SE 2-door. We were originally
planning on buying a current model, but our local Mini dealer happened
to also have the car we ended up with.The only way you can tell that it
isn't brand new is that it came with a little over 4000 miles on the clock.

I didn't even know there was an electric Mini. In SA there are quite a
lot of small Oriental electric cars now. Easily charged at home
overnight. Running costa are much less than petrol. Rather impractical
for long distance because there are so few charging stations along the
way. Besides, with all the charging, travelling time is much longer.
Some hybrids too.
In SA the electrical standard has always been 220V with those large 3
pin grounded plugs but now they are going over to 2 pin ungrounded for
most appliances. Dual outlet sockets are the new norm but most people
just use adapters.
