A bit of a back story, a way back story.
When we did our home reno in 2003, I had to dismantle my darkroom to
make way for the addition. I never did get it set back up, and then in
2011 we had a flood that required gutting the basement, and by then I
had pretty much decided that I wasn't going to set up another darkroom.
I had run it as a commercial business for a few years and burned
myself out on it.

Anyway, I discovered that I enjoyed carpentry and so when I was
refinishing the downstairs, I turned part of it into a woodworking shop.

One needs hobbies after all.

So, jump forwards to more recent history and the discovery a few years
ago that I had a daughter, and along for that ride was a son in law
and granddaughter who is now 12.
So, how did I win Christmas? I make said granddaughter a chest of
drawers for Christmas, something that she didn't have.

And here is a picture of it for the curious:

Technical details: Shot with a Samsung phone, using whatever goes on
inside those things.

enjoy

Very good! But it???s not a win. It???s a drawer???

Do you feel better now that you got that off your chest?

I'm sure his granddaughter will be better off not having
to survive another winter without drawers.

Didn't take long for our veneer of sophistication to slip.

The question is, will he make more, or is he opposed to poly-armoirey.
