Due to farms being bought and sold, equipment moved from Markham to
Greebank in Ontario to store and stage the antique equipment, and covid, ,
this is my first year back since 2018,
Its a smaller venue run by the kids and grandkids of the original restorer
farmers and they did a great jobe
It was too hot for me so i left early, but with my knee and cane it was
hard to get level action shots so i shot from the =barn area which was on a
bot of a rise so no the greatest shots this year
Any way enjoy
For some reason Fetch is acting up and i cant access my own web site so
using the camera clubs site today

Nice gallery, Dave. Always fun to see the old stuff being put to use,
even if it's just on special occasions. Where I grew up, as late as the
1950s, you could still see signs on the rural roads "Tractors with lugs
prohibited".

Fantastic Gallery, Dave. I really enjoyed that. Very nostalgic - those
guys are doing a great job. Majestic horses which seem to be enjoying
the outing. I once worked a vac. on a mixed farm back in the 60's where
the tractors & equipment were oldish but well maintained by a clever
mechanic. The horses were only for recreation (polo ponies). I remember
some old Dodge Fargo Bakkies too.

Ralf-
Take a look at the McCormick-Deering tractor - the gray one with the red
wheels. The teeth on the rear wheels are called lugs and were needed to
get traction working in the fields. By the 1950s most roads were paved,
but some farmers still had the old steel wheeled tractors which were
then banned from the roads so they didn't tear up the pavement.

I see...
Somewhat like winter tyres with spikes which damaged the roads and
became dangerous projectiles, so they were eventually banned in most of
Europe.

I'm seeing replies to posts I have not seen the original.
First Rick Womer's "Bartram's Garden" and now David Brooks's "Lewis farm
demo".
... and I'm not sure how many others I might have missed.
