My old external drive is not being read on my new iMac, but my other one is. The non working one has my LRC cataloge, do I just go agphead and create a new catalog on the working drive, is it really that simple? What about the catalog on your backup drive? You can also import one catalog into another? If you copy the catalog to another drive you should be able to point Lightroom at that catalog and have your edits. Also Lightroom saves backups of the catalog, where are they? That would be the ideal solution. If you can get the drive your catalogue is on working long enough to copy it to a good drive, copy it then tell Lightroom to use it.
