Last night I realized that I was nearly centered on Polaris, so I adjusted my Irix 11/4 a bit and did a couple of exposures, one without astrotracer, and one with.

The sky kinda sucked, but here are the better photos, most with the 15-30/2.8

Taken at the hidden valley / Barker Dam parking lot
The Gen 3 astrotracer works pretty well, and I learned a few things about photographing there, it's only about an hour and a half away, so I'll try to go back in better conditions.

Thanks Henk.
I should also have some golden hour/sunset/blue hour photos to post
soon. Unfortunately, while my job finances my photography habit, it also
interferes with my having time to devote to it.

That’s how I knew it was time to retire - my job was getting in the way of everything else I wanted to do.
