well speaking for myself.. I got a new computer - Win 11 which I have
at present connected to the internet via wifi.. my win 7 puter
absolutely crashed suddenly last night.. I have a neighbor who is a
tech guy and the suspect is a power problem and he thinks the hard
drive is likely safe.. but he can't get to it until late tomorrow.
I was planning on keeping it running OFF line - for a number of
reasons.. Meanwhile my r220 printer is printing stuff from the new one
but not to my liking.
My epson V500 is supposed to work on the win 11 - computer doesn t
seem to recognize it.
so - I'm in techno hell at the moment. are any of you guys using win
11? I could use some help off list.. the tech guy who may be able to
rescue my hard drive is no good regarding any artwork photo stuff..
fortunately the photos I've been wrokign on for the day by day project
are on my smugmug site and/or my new puter to keep posting one a day
up thru april 22nd.

Is the list still up?
Did I fall off it?
Or are people just busy with real life?
There have been a number of postings over the last days, including
the
link to this month's gallery.
Is this getting through?

Ann, about Epson V500:
I have Win 11 and I got my Epson V500 Photo running on it.
Epson are very sloppy in updating drivers.
I found out that the best way to install the scan software is from the
original disk supplied with the scanner.
The Epson Scan software (professional mode) on my pc is located at
C:\Windows\twain_32\escndv\escndv.exe
Under properties of the exe file (right click to get there) you should
select compatibility mode windows vista or windows xp to get it running.
