Over here our privatised water companies have asset-stripped to such an extent that have utterly failed in the one thing they’re supposed to do, which is provide people with clean water.

Ironically one of the places most affected has been Tunbridge Wells- a spa town.

The local people have been so disgusted about it they’ve given up writing strongly-worded letters to the press and have sent their butlers and housekeepers out into the streets with mindfully-curated artisan pitchforks to protest.

Oddly, here in SoCal, on the edge of the desert (I'm not entirely sure which side of the edge I'm on) it has actually been pleasantly cool the past few days.

Hope they have had adequate H&S training on the use of burning brands. Wouldn't want any thatched roofs to be damaged.

thankfully here in the Baked Apple I have two window ac's , three fans
and adequate provisions for a few days.. being outside when the air temp
matches or exceeds my age could literally kill me.
Can't imagine how awful it is for you guys across the big pond.
