Larry, just after I wrote to list about hank snow I did more researcha and thought I had responded to bRian's correction with an ooops  but cant find it now.. Paul - comparing On the Road again to Ive been every where isn't fair... entirely different kind of thing... I love them both .. I don't think the song was brought up as a best song thing.. it is just a wonderful bit ofwhimsey, like Woody Guthries "take me ride inmy car car" I had never heard  the song until I was doing my escape from 9/11 trip(which, to be fair, had been palnned before the disaster) in 2001 - In Cleveland I visited friends who cut me a cd with a variety of travel ing america songs - it was the first cut.  On the Road again was on it too.
