The greatest number of crows I've ever seen was in Manningtree, sometime in the eighties. No idea why. But the trees were full of them.

There’s a long line of trees which crosses the path from Stonehenge to Woodhenge, King barrow ridge, I think, which always has a very large number of rooks making a lot of noise in the late afternoon.
