Panic on the streets of...Pentax

Despite repeated attempts using Live View, the optical viewfinder, mirror lock-up, shake reduction (which isn't recommended for tripod shooting) and of course a self-timer, we were unable to produce a sharp image using the mechanical shutter at these particular settings due to shutter shock."

Other photo sites have found no such issues in their tests, so sample
variation?  Ah, for the good old day's of Modern Photography tests,
where they understood that not every item in a product run is perfect.  
I think I'll just go out and take some photos.
