I can't watch the video until I get home, but my first thought on seeing 100/2 was WANT!

Thinking about it though, it actually has less light collecting ability than an 85/1.4, so even considering things like sensor resolution and MTF, I expect that with modern sensors, and being able to use a stop faster shutter speed at the same ISO, in the real world, I'd probably get better results cropping down a photo taken with the 85.

Plus there's the advantage of having some slop in the frame in case things move, and the middle of the frame being sharper.
