I won Christmas, and a PESO

A bit of a back story, a way back story.
When we did our home reno in 2003, I had to dismantle my darkroom to
make way for the addition. I never did get it set back up, and then in
2011 we had a flood that required gutting the basement, and by then I
had pretty much decided that I wasn't going to set up another darkroom.
I had run it as a commercial business for a few years and burned myself
out on it.

Anyway, I discovered that I enjoyed carpentry and so when I was
refinishing the downstairs, I turned part of it into a woodworking shop.

One needs hobbies after all.

So, jump forwards to more recent history and the discovery a few years
ago that I had a daughter, and along for that ride was a son in law and
granddaughter who is now 12.
So, how did I win Christmas? I make said granddaughter a chest of
drawers for Christmas, something that she didn't have.

And here is a picture of it for the curious:

Technical details: Shot with a Samsung phone, using whatever goes on
inside those things.

Nicely done! Building one drawer is one thing. Building a set which match and line up when installed, that is impressive.

I didn't know Christmas was some kind of competition, but if it is, it
looks like the granddaughter was the big winner this year.

Christmas was Ok around here this year. I mean I survived & I actually
got a present from Santa ... or the VA or the post office or ... I dunno.

It was on the front porch when I went outside on Christmas day - a
microwavable hot mitt for my hand (therapy glove).

But this was the second Christmas I spent all alone. Two years in a row
I didn't get my Chinese buffet. I'm ready for this Covid SHIT to be over.
