On 7/9/18, Paul Stenquist, discombobulated, unleashed:

>Actually BREXIT is the nationalist "Make England Great Again" dogma.
>Happening all over the globe, a tenor of the times perhaps?

The way I interpret it is less about making England great again, more about relying less - not at all even - on the EU dictating what England can and cannot do. But really, if you join a club, you play by the rules right? Or you lobby to change the rules with the agreement of other players through democracy. Or you decide not to play any more.

Working in the media and having access to both pro and anti advocates, I can understand both sides of the argument. What the vociferous pros and antis don't seem to realise is that there is no gain without some pain (for the benefit of the whole thing). Moderates realise this and we knuckle down and make best of it.

I think I will relinquish this thread back to the OP, and go get dressed ready to pick up Godfrey from his pub bed and breakfast. We have a little sightseeing planned for today and I'm running late!
