When I bought the istD back in the fall of 03, 1gb blue Sandisk cards were $400.00. I bought a 
couple of them, and decided that it would be cheaper to buy a laptop and transfer files than to 
buy the number of cards I actually felt I needed. I think one can get those cards now for $20.00 
or so.
I believe a 1 gig card was equivalent to 2 rolls of 36 exposure film.
