Hello everyone! Need advices on a travelling issues. I expect to go in
Pragua for 10 days. How do I manage out there for charging batteries?
Is it better to bring the more batteries I can? Do I need special
electrical outfits to charge them? And what about memory cards SD? The
more I have, the better it is? In your opinion, do I have to bring a
laptop (to save photos) which is a boring thing to carry, isn't? All
your precious advices are welcome.

I don't know which camera (and charger) you have. The one for the K10/K20 says it will do 220
volts on it's own, so I suspect you'll just need an adaptor to allow it to plug into the
Euorpean mains. As far as storage is concerned, you have a choice of carrying lots of cards, or
some sort of external storage (laptop or an image tank of some sort), or getting optical media
written from your cards locally. With the cost of cards these days, I think I'd just carry a
bucket of them. If you don't need the highest performance cards available, cost per gigabyte is
quite inexpensive at the moment. I just picked up 3x8gb class 6 cards from NCIX for less than
Can$120.00, and I am sure if you shop around a bit, you can do a little better (Tiger Direct
often has good prices).
This doesn't give you back ups until you get home, but dumping image files to a laptop and
erasing the card doesn't either, and puts the data onto something that is less reliable than a
flash card.
