Hi Gang:
I made this for all my new PDML friends, but I also made this especially for
folks who aren't from the U.S. The Chicago Cubs & Sox had their 1st
cross-town series of the season at Wrigley Field, which is on the north side
of Chicago; The White Sox are from the south side; the Cubs from the north
side.
>From the rainbow to the 1st Wrigley sign represents my walk to the stadium.
The 1st Wrigley sign to the dog represents pictures made outside the
stadium. The dog to the Monty Python storefront represents pictures made
across the street from the stadium. The building owners across the street
have built bleachers on their rooftops & sell tickets. From Monty Python to
the last picture represents my walk back to the EL.
I didn't have tickets to the game, but I wanted to get some shots around the
park. Oh, one last thing: the couple with the cubs/sox jerseys are, in
fact, married. I was gleeful when I spied them. It was the shot I was
hoping for. The rainbow is nice, but I got the portrait I was looking for.
Oh, & the brooms, which were everywhere, signify a desire for the Cubs to
sweep the series, which, in fact, they did. Sorry, Paul!!!!
