Tired of Correcting Auto Focus: Not I

That would drive me absolutely bonkers. I am fortunate, the photography
I like to do doesnt need AF. I disdain using it anyway. If I CAN manual
focus, I PREFER manual focus. I like to know when "I" am in focus,
not "hope" the camera/lens combo "gets it right" for me. This is why
I am such a big fan of the KMA lenses, the manual focussing is superior
on them compared to just about ANY AF lenses.

Subject: Tired of Correcting Auto Focus
I have now tested 14 lenses for autofocus errors on my K20D, and have at
least 3 more to go. Of the 14, 10 needed correcting.
I have found this tedious, time-consuming, and boring. And apparently it
is a job that I will have to do over and over again with every new body
that I buy.
In my mind this has become a major disincentive to buying new bodies. I
wonder if it is possible to develop some software in the camera that
would automate this process. Suddenly I consider this a high priority
for in-camera software.
