The Halo Effect (was Re: Pentax USA upping their game)

I think it's a Halo Effect thing.  Specifically, if Pentax is viewed as a 
viable "Professional Solution", the nimrods* of the world won't turn up 
their noses and sniff that Pentax is not a Real Camera like a Nikon or 
Canon.  A few of them with more $$$ than sense will buy Pentax cameras.  
Pentax will sell more cameras. 

Which is good for us because they'll stay in business and introduce more 
cool new lenses and such. 

So I'm not a pro, but I support the program.
