More eBay Madness -- an observation.

I've been interested in buying a particular lens lately, (Curse you Mark
Roberts), so I've been haunting eBay. When I bid on an item I 'll often
will check out a competitors previous purchases, to get some idea of
what I'm up against. Here's something I've noticed. Some buyers buy
multiple specimens of the same item, often bidding considerably more
than it's actually worth. I mean what the hell? How many 50mm f2.0 A
lenses does one need, one bidder, (and I wish I'd saved the feedback
page for this guy, so the curious could look), had bought more than 20
in the past three months, in some cases paying almost $200.00 for a lens
that even KEH usually doesn't get more than $20.00-$35.00 for. Is there
some kind of equipment acquisition derangement I'm not aware of. (There
are all kind I am aware of, after all I'm a member of this list).
Sheesh!
