F 70-210 blues.

Well it finally happened.  My F 70-210mm jammed.  Some of you may 
remember Powell's 70-210mm repair, and the problem he had with the 
information brush.  (for those who need a reminder 
http://members.shaw.ca/hargravep/lenses.htm ).  It seems to happen no 
matter what you do.  I'm on my way to disassembling mine in an attempt 
to repair it.  Unfortunately it jammed in the 70mm position with focus 
at infinity so the screws on the sleeve are in accessible.  I'm looking 
for advice if there is any.  Well I'm off to buy a new soldering iron 
since I can't find my old one, (hope that will be enough so that I won't 
need to buy a JIS crosspoint screwdriver.  I suppose I could simply 
replace it but this lens is too good not to try, and I'm too broke to 
send it to someone else to tell me it's unrepairable.
