Not a bad collection.
Just to mention a few:
I especially liked Bob Gesselin's "Quiet Time", which strongly suggested
the small, private world of the child.
Thrainn Vigfusson's "Winter horses" seemed rather dark and dreary on my
monitor, which was a pity because I liked it otherwise.
Mark Cassino's excellent "On Patrol" might IMO have worked just as well
without the patrolman (and with a different title). It's the strong forms
that make the picture.
Filip Nicolaï's "Sluis" is a lovely, timeless, picture, evoking the
sepulchral quiet of a Sunday afternoon in the country with not a breath of
wind.
Harald Rust's "Endless Sea and Sky" breathes new life into a frequently
photographed subject.
Joe Tainter's "Chiesina di San Pietro" has a great three-dimensional
quality, thanks to the ruined wall in the left foreground.
But I also enjoyed all those I haven't mentioned.
John
PS: With thanks as ever to Adelheid.
