The Sigma 300 f/2.8 [PKAF mount] is an excellent lens, giving good value
for the price.
I have one, and it cost me less than half the quoted price for the
Pentax FA-300 f/2.8. A moot point actually, because at the time I bought
the Sigma lens, no one I could find had the Pentax FA-300 f/2.8 lens in
stock or was able to order it. I took what I could get.
One drawback to the Sigma lens ... since it's not a Pentax lens, you
won't be able to submit photos taken with it to the Pentax Gallery, even
if you do mount it on a Pentax DSLR.
