I don't have a good answer for this, except, Sigma seems to have trouble
when new cameras are released. Old lenses begin to malfunction. with
new bodies). (There used to be a web page called SIGnificant
MAlfunctions dedicated to Sigma's continuing compatibility issues, seems
to be gone now unfortunately), and I have a liking for manual focus
lenses especially for Macro work but that's just me.
