Thanks, Mark -- and the rest of you who commented, of course!
The "shooting star" will be discovered to be a space ship if the book is 
read - but
isn't known to be at the point it is first observed.... so getting it 
right was important and tough to do. :)

The actual book listing is here, btw - although I was disappointed the 
online listing didn't credit me with the
design of the cover, I think that it isn't often done (I do get the 
credit inside the book, of course)
