yes, this is a good lens. I have said it before,
contrary to popular belief, the very early Pentax
zoom lenses were excellent, albeit bulky, slow, and expensive
at the time, lenses. I dont know when Pentax
put out their first el-crapo zoom, but it
wasnt in the screw or K series era, mostly
likely that occurred in the late 70's M series era.

About a month ago, we had a thread
on the SMCK45-125/4 lens. Here a
couple sample shots I took around that
time that I meant to post but forgot
about (stumbled on them today) :

Both were shot at extremely close range.
I think the lens is pretty sharp, has
no problematic CA, and has decent
bokeh.
