I tend to disagree. The only improvement the SoftScreen gives in this shot
is that there is no blown out parts. Besides this, I find the lighting flat,
typical of a flash photo. 

Using SoftScreen and some compensation on the other hand...
I'm not a flash expert, so I'll stop there.
